Research Activities :
The Glasses and Thin Films group is
devoted to the preparation, development and characterization of optical and photonic
materials, in particular glasses and thin films, both amorphous and
nanocrystalline, for
passive and active integrated optics and other optical applications. Such materials are
prepared either by melting, or by sol-gel processing of a room temperature liquid phase,
or by physical vapor deposition. The page include information about current research
