Objective
  • Synthesis of large area colloid coloured coatings in optical quality by spraying

Method

  • wet coating of the glass surface with a nanocomposite layer fabricated by sol-gel process with a conventional flat spray coater
  • following densification of the coating at temperatures of 450 °C

Results

  • homogen, transparent, red colored coatings (60 cm x 90 cm)
  • coating thickness 270 ± 13 nm
  • glass like, mechanically and chemically properties
