Organic-Inorganic hybrid precursor for Aluminum oxide/ amorphous carbon composites

Posted : July 2000

DESCRIPTION

When the organic-inorganic hybrid precursor used in the coating of carbon fiber, the tensile strength of the carbon reinforced aluminum composite increased greatly. It's a good candidate for this kind of application. Besides, the organic-inorganic hybrid precursor can form a transparent film and it still transparent after sintered under 1000° C in non-oxide atmosphere.
This precursor is very stable in room temperature, and mainly composed of  Al, O, C and is protected by Chinese Patent. However, if it's needed, many other elements can be added to the system easily.

STATUS:  Patent pending, need financial support and joint development, especially in the its application
