I am about to create some aerogels using an ammonia catalyst. I was wondering how crucial the ammonia concentration is. Since I am basically dehydrating the gel in the process, would I be able to use the more cheaper and available 10% concentration of ammonia over a higher 30% concentration? My idea is that since it is an aqueous solution of ammonia, it would just take a little more time to diffuse out the water.
