hi friends,

this is asmz. i am looking for sol gel synthesis of doped TiO2 to tailor its band gap. from literature the best for this purpose is Nd but i have yet not found a sol gel method for the synthesis.

can anyone help me in this.

thanx.

 hi kutty,

i am interested in band gap tailoring of TiO2. one way is by changing sizes and the other is adding dopants. i have achieved a size range and soon i'll check how band gap changes with size of nanoparticles. but i also want to check it by adding dopants. so far the literature i have followed say that Nd doping is best to reduce the TiO2 band gap. what i require is a sol- gel method to prepare Nd Doped TiO2 nanoparticles.

so if you have in ming any paper regarding above plz let me know.                       thanx

Is it true that Nd is the best dopant?

I think it depends on the application right?

How about Fe(III) dopant?

I'm confuse on how to choose the best dopant.

Thanks
